Genesis 1:1

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:2

The earth was formless and empty. Darkness was on the surface of the deep and Gods Spirit was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Genesis 1:3

God said, Let there be light, and there was light.

Genesis 1:4

God saw the light, and saw that it was good. God divided the light from the darkness.

Genesis 1:5

God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.

The heavens, the earth, and all their vast array were finished.

Genesis 2:2

On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.

Genesis 2:3

God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done.

This is the history of the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahweh God made the earth and the heavens.

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtle than any animal of the field which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, Has God really said, You shall not eat of any tree of the garden?

Genesis 3:2

The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,

but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.

The serpent said to the woman, You wont really die,

for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

The woman conceived, and bore a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him three months.

When she could no longer hide him, she took a papyrus basket for him, and coated it with tar and with pitch. She put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the rivers bank.

His sister stood far off, to see what would be done to him.

Exodus 2:5

Pharaohs daughter came down to bathe at the river. Her maidens walked along by the riverside. She saw the basket among the reeds, and sent her servant to get it.

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Gods mountain, to Horeb.

Exodus 3:2

Yahwehs angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

Exodus 3:3

Moses said, I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.

Exodus 3:4

When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said, Moses! Moses! He said, Here I am.

Exodus 3:5

He said, Dont come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.

Leviticus 1

Leviticus 1:1

Yahweh called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying,

Leviticus 1:2

Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When anyone of you offers an offering to Yahweh, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.

Leviticus 1:3

If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without defect. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.

Leviticus 1:4

He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

Leviticus 1:5

He shall kill the bull before Yahweh. Aarons sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

Leviticus 2:1

When anyone offers an offering of a meal offering to Yahweh, his offering shall be of fine flour. He shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it.

Leviticus 2:2

He shall bring it to Aarons sons, the priests; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn its memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

Leviticus 2:3

That which is left of the meal offering shall be Aarons and his sons. It is a most holy thing of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire.

Leviticus 2:4

When you offer an offering of a meal offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

Leviticus 2:5

If your offering is a meal offering made on a griddle, it shall be of unleavened fine flour, mixed with oil.

Leviticus 3

Leviticus 3:1

If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without defect before Yahweh.

Leviticus 3:2

He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting: and Aarons sons, the priests, shall sprinkle the blood around on the altar.

Leviticus 3:3

He shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to Yahweh; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards,

Leviticus 3:4

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

Leviticus 3:5

Aarons sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.
